Healthcare Billing Is Broken. Patients Bear the Cost.

Patients routinely receive two separate documents after any medical encounter: a provider bill and an insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB). These documents often conflict, use different language, and arrive weeks apart. Making sense of what is actually owed, and paying it efficiently, requires manual reconciliation that most consumers cannot do.

Our client set out to solve this. The vision: a consumer-facing web application, built to be mobile compatible, that could automatically reconcile provider bills against insurance EOBs, surface the true amount owed, and enable direct payment through a financial institution’s banking rails.
