Administrative Assistant

Our client, a well-established Law firm in Boston, is in search of an Administrative Assistant to support their busy and growing office! The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing all front desk functions, communicating with attorneys/clients, and handling detailed projects. This role is temporary, onsite, and full-time (5 days per week), and is a great foot in the door for anyone with prior administrative/front desk experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee front desk operations (calls, emails, chat, and client check-ins)
  • Coordinate with other administrative staff regarding events and catering orders
  • Draft client engagement letters and correspondence
  • Create and edit confidential legal documents
  • Work with the firm’s Marketing Director on ad hoc marketing tasks
  • Coordinate internal lunch-and-learn meetings
  • Assist with travel arrangements for different levels of staff
  • Interface and coordinate with building and facilities staff
  • Assist with the planning of company-wide events (both onsite + virtual)
  • Notarize documents (will be required to apply to be a notary, if not one already; the firm will cover all related fees)
  • Maintain office supplies and subscription orders

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in an office setting (professional services/law firm experience is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including experience working with Styles in MS Word
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills

Compensation: $18-21/hour
